Wow, an actual entry in 2025...

So times nowadays have been...weird. Physically, I should be okay because my tests say so, except for my latest ultrasounds. Long story short, I have swollen lymph nodes and they're multiplying so I have a biopsy scheduled for the 27th. Haha. Oh, body. Here we go again...

Anyway! I decided to deal with this by writing and finishing an ND scene. Only Sena-san will get where this is coming from and I guess I wrote this for her because times have been hard for her lately. Hope this can cheer her up a little.

This is a Hiro/Minori scene with bonus 5YearOld!Kisa! I don't think we actually wrote about Hiro and Minori in the old ND days, so it's nice to have done this. I've been thinking a lot about Hiro in the recent years. I guess we all just had to mature some to really appreciate him, lol. That and a whole Park Jinyoung from GOT7 exists and I just kind of patterned Hiro after him, plus some bits from BTS' Min Yoongi aka Suga. Hiro just has that sorta same savage but sweet vibe to his fans. Plus he's also an actor now. I should get around to watching some of Jinyoung's dramas... Anyway, scene!

The alarm went off at 6am and it was almost immediately stopped. The hand that did it retreated back under the covers just as swiftly. There was stillness within the bedroom for about another full minute before the lump on the bed started moving.

A fluffy mahogany bedhead emerged from under the covers just as the hand reached again and retrieved the pair of wide-rimmed glasses that were folded neatly on the nightstand. The glasses were slipped on before the hand lifted to rub under sleepy maroon eyes, and Hiro let out a yawn.

Hiro and mornings were not friends. Never had been, and it was probably worse now that he had become a full-fledged adult with responsibilities and a family of his own. Do not even get him started on his jobs…

There were good points to mornings as an adult, though, Hiro had to say. It meant getting up from his warm, comfortable bed, but it was always worth it.

Managing to crawl out of bed always meant a reward, and it could be found in the kitchen. Along with a very attractive supplement.

“Ohayo, Hiro.”

The early morning sunshine streamed in through a window, shining down on their clean kitchen counters and the shiny, fancy espresso machine that Hiro loved. Beside it, ready for the day and very much awake, stood Minori. And just like every morning, she had a smile on her face and a steaming cup of coffee in one hand.

Hiro always believed he couldn’t love her more than that moment every morning.

“You’re perfect,” Hiro greeted her just as she held out the cup of coffee for him that he of course accepted. “Please marry me.”

And that always earned him a warm, loving smile, if not a pretty little giggle, and a fond kiss.

“Of course.”

She always said “yes” to his pre-coffee marriage proposals, and it made the first sip the best.

“This is really good,” he told her in all loving seriousness. It was just black coffee, but that was what Hiro liked best, and as far as he was concerned, Minori knew how he liked it.

In reply, she took his free arm and snuggled onto his side.

This was their morning routine, 30 minutes to talk and cuddle as Hiro took his coffee before Minori left for the day for her Starlight duties. They probably looked a bit funny standing there together, Minori all dressed up and alert while he was still groggy in his pajamas, but they never passed this up if they could help it. They were both busy, and hardly had any time to spend together during the day, so they made sure to take this time to catch up before they got too involved with the things they had to do.

“What will you be up to today?” Minori asked him after Hiro had taken his first few sips and must have woken up a bit more. “Will you be really busy?”

Hiro took a moment to think about it. “After taking Kisa up to the palace, we’ve got a meeting with Miki-san for something. I don’t know what it’s about yet, but I have some suspicions…”

Hiro, who almost always scheduled his meetings around lunch time, was in-charge of their five-year-old daughter, Kisa, in the mornings. That meant waking her up and helping her prepare for her day, which usually consisted of lessons and playtime up at the palace with her fellow hoshiko. Technically, Minori could take Kisa with her, but she usually had an early start and it would be cruel to Kisa, who also seemed to be a slow starter in the morning just like her father. So Hiro and Kisa had some bonding time in the mornings and Minori took her home with her in the afternoon after she was done with her duties.

“A meeting with Miki-san?” Minori looked up at Hiro. “It has been a while, ne? What could it be about…”

“Miki-san has a concert coming up.” Hiro answered easily. “He’ll probably want to get us to do something for it.”

Miki Kou may be slowly winding down, but he still loved to perform, and nowadays he enjoyed sharing the stage with others. Hoshiko had opened for him before and had also been invited to perform with him a couple of times ever since. Hiro, Kenta, and Tetsuya were established in the music scene now, but they always tried to make time for joint opportunities with the older singer.

Miki Kou had always been kind of out there with his ideas--it was him who was responsible for there being Hoshiko in the first place--so Hiro couldn’t help but feel wary.

“Maybe he wants you three to dance,” Minori suddenly put in.

Hiro sighed at the idea, eyes going a bit dead at the thought. “Tetsuya will really quit if that happens…”

And Minori giggled, but they both knew it was possible. Tetsuya was maybe more comfortable with performing now, but he didn’t particularly enjoy it, and asking him to dance was likely too much.

“But will you do it, though? If you had to?”

He looked at her a bit curiously. “Do you want me to dance?”

Minori’s smile was sweet. “I just haven’t seen you dance like how Miki-san does.”

“I’ll break something for sure. You want that, Minori?” Hiro asked her, though he was smiling at the thought and how Minori let out a giggle on his shoulder. It was really cute when she did that and he melted each time. He was admittedly a sap for his wife, no joke. “You’ll have to take care of me if that happens, you know?”

“Nothing acrobatic,” she insisted sweetly with that warm smile. “But I think you’ll do well.”

Hiro couldn’t help gathering her to him in a one-armed hug. “You’re sweet, but I’d rather not dance, thanks. Kenta can do it, if he wants.”

Of the trio, Kenta was definitely the one who could be persuaded easily into dancing. Kenta had a talent for it, and was just a natural performer and entertainer in general. He was Hoshiko’s front man for a reason after all.

Minori nodded in agreement. “I think he’ll do it well, and Tsubame-chan will be pleased.”

“I bet,” Hiro quipped before taking another sip. “They’ll make him do something sexy and you know what'll happen next…”

Kenta and Tsubame were notoriously frisky. Minori and Hiro had a wealth of stories of things they got up to when the mood struck them. It was the result of spending a lot of time with the other couple who weren’t particularly shy about being affectionate with each other in public. It left Hiro and Minori the unwitting witnesses to their shenanigans.

Hiro didn’t need to look to know that Minori was blushing as she leaned her head over his shoulder again as she giggled. Minori never really grew out of her shyness about some things, and talking about more intimate things usually still flustered her a little.

“I think you’ll look good doing a sexy concept…” Hiro heard Minori murmur against the soft fabric of his pajama top.

In turn, he turned a little and dropped a fond kiss over her head. “Thanks,” he replied quietly. “But nowadays I think I’ll save the sexy concepts for just the two of us, if that’s okay.”

He watched Minori nod against him and of course he had to kiss her when she tilted her head up to look at him. Minori’s face was warm and Hiro could feel it with how close they were at the moment. Hiro just leaned closer to deepen the kiss, drawing her even closer against him.

“Otousan? Okaasan…”

A tiny sleepy voice interrupted them, but they didn’t mind.

Five-year-old Kisa stood at the doorway to the kitchen, barefoot, wearing her pajamas and dragging a stuffed cat behind her. With her messy dark hair and drooping eyes, it was obvious she was still half-asleep. It was actually very early yet for her to be awake but things happened. It seemed that today was a day when she woke up early.

“Ohayo, Kisa-chan,” Hiro greeted her quietly as he made his way to her and carefully picked her up for a good morning hug.

This was a routine, too, and Hiro really did his best not to skip it. Children grew up fast after all, and he didn’t want to miss too much of his daughter growing up if he could help it.

Kisa leaned her whole weight against him as he walked them back to Minori who was watching them fondly, the stuffed cat still held by its paw by one of Kisa’s hands. Kisa’s other hand gripped at Hiro’s shirt by his shoulder and held fast despite how sleepy she still seemed.

“Ohayo, Kisa-chan,” Minori greeted their daughter with a kiss when Hiro and Kisa were close enough. “You’re up early.”

Lowered dark eyes regarded Minori drowsily. “Okaasan is still here…”

Minori smiled as she nodded, reaching to gently push back Kisa’s bangs from her eyes. “Yes. How was your sleep, Kisa-chan?”

“Okay…” Kisa replied quietly, still staring at her blearily as she laid her cheek on Hiro’s shoulder. “Okaasan, I want French toast…”

“May I have French toast please?” Hiro corrected her gently and Kisa repeated herself as instructed.

Kisa was a polite child but of course still had her slip ups. Children were children, and Hiro didn’t mind having to repeat himself at times. Eventually, it will all stick and Kisa will be alright. Kisa was smart and sensitive. She will be fine. They will just have to do their best to raise her right.

As for Kisa’s request for French toast from her Okaasan…

Minori’s smile was apologetic. “I'm sorry, Kisa-chan. Okaasan has to leave soon, but Otousan can make you some.”

Kisa sighed and huffed like it was one huge disappointment, and to her it probably was. No one made French toast like her Okaasan.

“Sweet or with ham and cheese, Kisa-chan?” Hiro asked, looking at his daughter and trying not to laugh at how grumpy she looked at having to rely on his not-Okaasan cooking abilities as always.

“Ham and cheese, please.”

Kisa always went for the ham and cheese French Toast when Hiro asked because as far as Kisa was concerned, only her Okaasan could make it as sweet as she liked. Hiro asked anyway, because why not?

“Okay…”

“Okaasan…”

“Yes, Kisa-chan?”

“Can you please ask Otousan to wear real clothes when he takes me to the palace?”

Hiro and Minori blinked at their daughter’s request.

“‘Real clothes’?”

Kisa nodded, sleepily nuzzling against Hiro’s shoulder. “Kana-chan asked why Otousan was wearing pajamas the other day when Otousan dropped me off…”

“You should tell Kanako to mind her own business. Her Otousan can't seem to keep his shirt on properly at times.”

“Hiro,” Minori gently admonished Hiro’s dry, deadpan reply though her eyes twinkled with silent laughter. “Otousan, please wear real clothes to take Kisa-chan to see her friends, ne?”

Hiro still looked a bit miffed, but nodded with a sigh. “Otousan will wear real clothes today, promise.”

As Hiro got older and he got more exposed to different kinds of fashion styles due to his work in the entertainment business, he had started to experiment a bit more. Nowadays, he preferred more loose-fitting clothes that were less binding and more comfortable when he wasn’t being styled for work. How Kisa (and Kanako and maybe even her other friends) would translate his everyday clothes to pajamas would make sense. And well, what he was wearing the other day to drop Kisa off were…kind of pajama-inclined. It was a free day and a hoodie and baggy sweatpants felt right, sue him.

“Thank you, Otousan…”

Hiro brushed a kiss over Kisa’s head. Dressing up a little for Kisa wouldn’t be so difficult anyway.

Minori watched them fondly for another moment before she reached to give them both a hug.

“Okaasan has to leave now. I’ll see you both later, ne?”

Kisa dragged herself off of Hiro’s shoulder to give her mother a hug back. “Love you, Okaasan.”

Hiro leaned to kiss Minori on the cheek. “Love you, Okaasan. We’ll see you later.”

They walked off to the front door together when Minori really had to leave. Hiro and Kisa waved to her as she went and watched her go until they couldn’t see her anymore.

Hiro turned his head to look back down to Kisa who was more awake now but still quite cuddly. “Can I put you down so I can make your French Toast, Kisa-chan?”

Kisa nodded and was soon set down so she could climb up on her chair beside the dining table. Hiro placed a coloring book and a box of non-toxic crayons on the table to keep her busy before turning on the radio and starting up for breakfast. Soon, kid-friendly pop filled the air and Hiro got to work in the kitchen across the dining room.

Hiro’s day was starting a bit earlier and busier than usual, but he really didn’t mind.

That was just fatherhood, he guessed.

Hiro is actually Kanako's godfather. I don't know why that is important to point out, but yeah. Despite what he said, he's actually kind of soft for Kanako and also Miyuki, who is also his godchild. Heck he's also sort of soft for Jiyuu and Shouta, too, just because they're Kenta's kids despite how he comes across. Tetsuya is Jiyuu's godfather, actually (which is funny when you think about it because of Mirai lol). Kenta is also Miyuki's godfather. Tetsuya just made sure Hiro and Kenta were both Miyuki's godfathers, lol. Meanwhile, Shouta's godfather is actually Nori. :3 Just thought I'd share that, hehe.
